Hello,

I realize this is an old thread but I have a similar question as urbanminer did back in 2014, and did not want to start a new thread just for that.

I am wondering if anyone here ever found out the year that the Ontario stamp on their machetes was moved from perpendicular to parallel to the "US" stamp? Thanks

SolWarrior- Since Ontario is still producing machetes, knives, and bayonets. They may know that information if contacted. It may be a long shot, but one never knows.  SKIP

SKIP, I have contacted OKC today via email and if they reply, hopefully with an answer, I will come back and share their reply, word for word, with you guys on this thread. Thanks!

My friend was a TC on an ACAV and had his Machete hanging on the side of his cupola. A NVA Soldier raked the side of the ACAV with his AK47. He shot the handle off of the Machete. That was the last thing he ever did. My friend wanted to take the machete without a handle home as a souvenir but they wouldn't let him have it.
