While we wait for the next batch of pictures to come in from the Signals Corp Photo Unit from our last adventure, we prepare for the groups next deployment in March. For this event we will be representing 2/3 sections of the 81mm Mortar Platoon, 1st Battalion, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 17th Airborne Division and an element of Battalion Headquarters. While in camp we will be based in its pre jump tent city in France and while out on the ground we will be on the other side of the Rhine and on the line.

On the Sunday we will be providing fire support to several rifle platoons during rehearsals and public battle in the forrests of COAM.

As with many of our events and in keeping with other groups attending this event we invite attachments, so if you have an interest in this late war campaign and the American Airborne, then drop us a line, we have spare gear if it is needed, can feed you and cover your sleeping requirements. The aim is to deploy another firing tube in the Mortar Platoon and other tasks.

Regards

Lee
