Navy League Service (A Women's Patriotic Organization during WWII)

Forum member HHBOOKER was kind enought to scan and post the following

two pages about the National Women's Council of the Navy League Service.

 

The N.L.S. was a WWII era Women's patriotic organization.

 

 

When I acquired the purse, I was pleasently suprised to find inside:

a hat, a pin, some patches, and post cards dating back to 1944.

Not wishing to arouse suspicion as to its potential value, I mumbled

some excuse (It's for my daughter; It's for me!) as to why a guy would

be interested in getting a purse. SCORE! Unfortunately there was

no uniform to be found.
