next is the M421A with 3 pockets. This jacket also has added rigger made straps on the shoulders assuming for attachment of the M592 back pack survival kit?

next jacket is the M445B, again there are a bunch of versions of this jacket, major differences are location of bottom buttons and number of buttons. Later this jacket morphed into the ANJ4A Army/Navy jacket .

This jacket was typically used during training in open cockpit type aircraft but was also used in larger aircraft such as PBY etc... Jacket is fleece lined similar to the AAF B-3 Flight jacket.

next jacket is the M-69, transport coat. this coat was carried in blimps and larger aircraft like PBY for use by pasengers in high altitude flight. I believe blimp crews also used this coat.

next on the list for me are some of the flightsuits used by the USN during WW2

The USN used a number of summer weight suits, I will start with the ANS31 another Army/Navy suit which was used by both services. this suit has a rigger modified addition of a Mk1 knife scabbard added to it's leg.

late in WW2 the USN experimented with Nylon materials. They made flight suits, flight helmets with Nylon. This suit is light weight Nylon suit.

next up is the USN early war M456A 24volt electrically heated suit. Used in open cockpit type aircraft, also in blimps i believe (could be wrong). Suit is heavy with internal suspenders and electric plugs with wires running through out the suit.

next up is the AL-1 heavy weight flight suit. this came in two variations, one as a suit and the other as a jacket with seperate pants. this is the suit. This was a late war item but was used in the pacific bypically with groups flying PB4Y (USN version of the B24)

moving on from flight suits, couple sets of USN sepcific flight boots. First is a BUEAIR deck shoe with cord type soles, only 2 sets of eyelets. Used by deck crews on aircraft carriers and also by air crews.

next set of boots is the M380 cold weather flight boots. used with the M445 flight jacket and M446 flight pants. Simular to the A-6 AAF boots but they lace up in back and have two sets of zippers on each boot.

next is the later war type PK-1 lift raft kit. the raft used a bag that attached to the side of the QAS chute harness

the pack included bunch of survival gear in the bottom of the pack.

moving on to some of the USN survial kits. the main type was the M592 survial backpack. The pack included bunches contents including rations, flares, machette, compass, gloves, poncho, 1st aid kits, the pack was worn under the QAS chute harness, under the survival vest on the aircrew mans back.

next up is a few USN personal items starting with some USN specific flight goggles. There were a couple of types used by the USN early in WW2 including MK1, MKII and the MKIV goggles. I have some MK1s but i can not find them, but next are pics of the MARK-II and MARK-IV.
