i have a lcvp from the uss inchon lph 12 7, anyone have info on the ship?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Inchon_(LPH-12) here you go, this is the Wikepidia entry for the Inchon. I don't ever remember operating with her, so no stories. If your "Papa" boat (that's what we refered to them as) is numbered 12-7 that means that the boat was boat #7. This does not mean that she carried 7 LCVPs, just that there were 7 boats assigned to her. From photos, she only looks to have had davits for two LCVPs. These boats would not have been used in the "assualt" mode by the ship, but rather work boats used to shuttle troops and stuff from ship to ship or ship to shore.

Nice boat by the way.
