I normally wouldn't post a piece without a rear view, but this is a VERY rare item, so here it is...

up next is another Model 1926 Officer Dress cover EGA, this one is manufactored by H&H (Hilborn & Hamburger, a company still in business and nicknamed 'Hamburger Hill'). Also a screwback type...

another H&H Model 1926 Dress Cover EGA, this was their early pattern that was later changed to the one above. Sorry, again there is no rear photo...

Here we have the quintessential 1926 pattern Gemsco variety emblem for the Dress blues barracks cover, that appears on ebay this week. This Gemsco pattern began life in the 20's and likely continued in production to the period before WW2 period. Its quite likely the pattern was sold for a longer period after the change by outfitters and such with the introduction of the 36 pattern. Seen here is an excellent example with medium wear, no serious defects, no issues... Is is frustrating to date these pieces accurately (as some will argue EGA's cannot be dated at all and yet spend huge sums on the same?), hopefully we will someday be able to determine if hallmarks play a part in dating these precisely.
