John Cooper Posted December 5, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 5, 2009 Here is an odd duck... a bit soft on the details and has the look and feel similar to the silver plated brass Amcraft wings and even a similar pattern but not the same. I am open to opinions on who made them and when... John
John Cooper Posted December 6, 2009 Author Share #2 Posted December 6, 2009 I wanted to add some additional information the wing is a bit over 3 inches and very similar to an early GEMSCO I have i.e. flat back and thin compared so some of the beefier wings. It is a perfectly legit wing. More than likely an AMCRAFT pattern from the mid-late 30's.
John Cooper Posted December 7, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted December 7, 2009 Thanks for the reply Patrick! At first I thought so too but when comparing examples I find several differences I hope the following photos show clearly. 1) Wingtip differences 2) Feathering differences 3) Shoulder differences Last but not least the observer is larger. If Anyone esle would like to weigh in here to help me out I would be happy!
