Schnicklfritz Posted June 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2007 Wanted to see what you're opinions are on this WW1 5th Regiment patch are? I've never seen bullion WW1 USMC patches. It could be for an officer, but I'm just not familiar with it. Thanks for your input!! Cheers! Marc
KurtA Posted June 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 3, 2007 Marc- These can be very difficult to evaluate from a photo (and even in person). Is the red background velvet? If so, that would be a big check in the plus column. At this point, I'm leaning towards "good." Kurt
Schnicklfritz Posted June 3, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted June 3, 2007 Hi Kurt, Yes, it is on velvet. I honestly like it too! Cheers! Marc
jeremiahcable Posted June 3, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 3, 2007 Granted that my hands on with these patches is minimal, I like this one. It reminds me of other German made 2nd Division patches I've seen on uniforms or in groups. If you can get this one Marc, I think you should. cbuehler Posted June 4, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 4, 2007 This does look good to me as well. It has similar materials and construction to a 6th MG Bn. patch I once had that was German made. CB
