is this a WWII era field dressing? goes inside 1st aid pouch

is this a WWII era combat dressing for the first aid pouch?

 

it is packed inside a paper box marked:

 

STOCK NO. 2-017-455

 

DRESSING, FIRST AID,

CAMOUFLAGED, SMALL

 

DYED STERILIZED DRESSING

 

Red color indicates back of dressing.

 

Put other side next to wound.

 

Guild Products Corporation --- Newark, N.J. , U.S.A.

 

I would like to know what era this item dates to? WWII? Korea? Vietnam?

 

it measurses 4" in long x 2" wide x 1" in thick
