48MMS Posted November 17, 2009 #1 Posted November 17, 2009 As I am cataloging and taking pics, I wanted to share on of my better ebay victories, the 40th Bombardment Squadron (B-36) from Walker AFB, New Mexico.
Teamski Posted November 17, 2009 #2 Posted November 17, 2009 Wow! What a cold war classic! You sure it's B-36s? It says jet. Maybe B-52s? -Ski
48MMS Posted November 17, 2009 Author #3 Posted November 17, 2009 Possibly. I always considered the B-36, a jet, at least the versions that had jet engines in addition to the props. The 40th converted to the B-52E in 1957 if I recall. Safer to go with the Buff, but I'll continue to research.
Mark1 Posted November 23, 2009 #4 Posted November 23, 2009 here is the 40th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron which fly B-52's out of Diego Garcia during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi freedom
