heady506th Posted December 6, 2009 Share #62 Posted December 6, 2009  Very Nice LIds!! I especially like your 188th Airborne Infantry-something about that bugle. Thanks for the pics-did you snatch that off ebay? These are underappreciated postwar, painted helmets that will make a nice collection all by themselves! I look forward to when the helmet identification chart finished. That will be an invaluable resource! jpstout With the exception of the 508th lid all the other Helmets came local from the surrounding area near Fort Campbell. jpstout Posted January 9, 2010 Share #64 Posted January 9, 2010 Here is a helmet currently on EBAY for $6,500.00. I assume it is postwar, and perhaps '50s, but I have never seen this design. Can anyone orient me as to time period? jpstout WWII US MARINE CORPS PARATROOPER DELTA HELMET VERY RARE - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

sgtdorango Posted November 14, 2010 Share #75 Posted November 14, 2010 Heres a few more unidentified tac marks found in early 11th AB 50s era (50-52) yearbooks...three dark painted horizontal lines seen on the paratrooper's helmet with mountain lion mascot and the machinegunner seems to have a white circle like the 503rd with two or three horizontal lines through circle, very hard to see in photo but more clear when looking at the yearbook in hand.... ...mike
