Yes, it is part of the British P-37 equipment, it is one of the suspenders or braces as the British call them. The other one would pass through the loop on this one to keep them together. They could also be used by itself as a shoulder strap for various pieces of equipment.

I would save it Steve if you have a box of random gear for that type of thing. It might come in handy down the line if you pick up a brit bag, satchel (or even bino case as I believe they also used the strap) or other P-37 gear that it might be missing from. Not sure what it would get on Ebay but I would tend to think mabey a Big Mack meal.. :lol: :thumbsup:
