Members of the USMF community:

Today the administration was forced to suspend the account of community member "bay.223" (aka Brad).

Back in late 2008, bay.223 had agreed to send double buckle boots to member 1967. 1967 sent payment as agreed but the items were never received. The last message 1967 received from bay.223 was January 20, 2009 and indicated:

"Hi! I shipped them off a little while ago, with all the ice storms and stuff here, it could have been delayed...I did insure them....you should get them in 3-4 days.... let me know when they arrive. they have to go through our customs and then yours. take care, Brad.

Over the next few months, 1967 tried repeatedly to make contact with bay.223 and obtain either the item or return of the payment. In April, the Administration was notified and a private message was sent to bay.223 requesting that he fix the issue within a couple weeks or face possible banning. The message was read by bay.223 on April 19 2009 at 04:51 AM. He has not logged in since that time and has not responded to either 1967 or the Administration.

In an interest to protect the members of this community, his account has been banned. Please use caution should you be contacted by any individual bearing this username bay.223 or any other individual bearing similar name with the first name Brad and possibly living in the Columbus, Ohio area.

The FOR SALE section is provided for members as an easy way to sell among friends, since all of us here in this community are friends. For us to maintain that friendly atmosphere, we must make sure that members are fulfilling their obligations. Buyers are buying what they agreed to buy, and sellers are selling what they agreed to sell.

It is true that the FOR SALE section is operated under the principle that all transactions are between the buyer and seller. The forum and/or its owners cannot force anyone to complete their obligations nor can we be held responsible for the actions of either party during the transaction or before or after. However, we will (as evidenced here) take action if necessary when there are abuses.
