Two photos of an Air Policeman wearing the gold transitional collar and hat insignia and the Military Air Transport Transport Eastern Air Defense SSI. If the date on the photo is correct, the insignia was being worn into 1950.

And finally with the last of the fun postings for tonight Jeannie in the Air Force.

This one in Khakis is from 1965,

And this one from 1969.

And One More from the 1965 Episode,

A actor wearing the Sage Green Utilities with matching cap, and Jeanine wearing some kind of Khaki coveralls. Now would these coveralls she's wearing be an actual 1950s-60s USAF Uniform Item for Female Personnel?

Here is a Class photo of 3460th Training Sqd, Dated FEB 1950. It looks like the commander is wearing the new AF blue (no avn branch insignia), while the 2LT is wearing pinks and greens (winged / prop branch insignia).

I can't tell if the Sergeants are wearing solid or cut out collar discs. But, it appears the hat devices are in both solid and cut out versions. The photo is shot in sepia (brown tones) and has additionally yellowed with age, so I can't get a good feel of uniform colors.

PS this photo is for sale on my ebay page "easterneagle87" , PM to get it to a good home. always willing to deal.

Here's another shot, 8x10 portrait of a WW2 vet in the new AF blue. Nice shirt size Gunner's Wings on the left breast. Really too bad he isn't wearing ribbons.

I believe I posted this shot under the "wings" section already, but thought I'd add it here as well.

One Lieutenant Colonel Mary Chalifour in 1976, Chalifour, is her later married name. Joined the Air Force in 1958, serving at a wide variety of Stateside and Overseas Bases in her 20 years of service, Wilford Hall San Antonio Texas. Tachikawa Air Base Japan, Moody Air Base Georgia, Tachikawa Air Base for a 2nd Tour, Altus Air Base Oklahoma, Bitburg Air Base West Germany etc etc, she interestingly was married to an Enlistedman, got away with it apparently 363267536_emoticonlaugh.png.57efac46d12f7206d0d3a87ad2c8177b.png .

With her Husband 1968, Senior Master Sergeant Lee Chalifour, he is a WWII Combat Vet, a Bomber Crewman, The Pacific, at the time of their marriage Mary was a Major, they met  at Moody Air Base and happened to both be assigned to Tachikawa where they married in 1967.

And Mary in I think 2013, no other info, as to if she is still around, her husband as well.

That’s what I was thinking too. But since I couldn’t see the shorts, I wasn’t sure. makes total sense. Interesting they mixed and matched.

My dad had the bush jacket.  I have it now.  He never had the khaki shorts.  He always wore it with long Khaki trousers.

Airmen playing baseball at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona in 1951. The sergeant appears to be wearing subdued chevrons that may be iron-on.

The stripes in the photo are actually stenciled on the sleeve.  In the early '50's, there were no subdues stripes.  My dad was a M/Sgt in the Korean War, and wore stenciled on M/Sgt stripes on his fatigues similar to these stripes.
