The accompanying photograph is an official USAF portrait of Col. George E. Bostwick. During WW2 he flew with Gabreski and Zemke in the famous 56th FG and ended the war with 8 kills. This part of his career is well-documented. I have his full colonel's uniform from the 50s and would really like to know something about his post-war career in the USAF. I've googled him but post-war details are scarce, so I wondered if any of you out there can access USAF archives and fill in the gaps for me? Thanks for you time.

Ian

One thing I do know is that he was stationed for a time at Chateauroux AFB in France. This AFB was active between '51-'67.

It is viewable by anyone who has served in an American uniform or is next of kin.
