Does anybody have good detailed photos of the leggings worn during the Spanish-American War? I read in Rayg's mannequin topic that his are lined with felt.

I found some leggings specs on a vendor site. Interesting, but doesn't help me out.

"I read in Rayg's mannequin topic that his are lined with felt".

New Romantic, Just read your post. I don't believe the felt lining in the legings on my manikin are standard. They were probably state issue or private purchase. I got them along with three other sets as part of a group. The other three had no lining in them. I think the lining was added for better leg protection in cold weather. Ray

Thanks for clearing that up Ray- I was thinking that the felt was part of the criteria for a pair of leggings to be pre 1900. Can you point of the difference between pre 1900 leggings and those with leather footstraps made during WWI?
