XF-91 "Thundercepter"......USAF Museum has a nice website. Basically a F-84 with twin gear and a very nice new radar.

Hmmm... definitely a McDonnell product. My initial response was the XF3H-1 Demon, but I realized the intakes were wrong. That's an XF-88 Voodoo

THIS is an XF3H-1

And good call on the XF-91. Most people don't get it with the radar nose.

Hey Dan, I just realized you're in MD. You need to come on up to the museum!

Whats the closet airport around you?

I live on MD-50, but 2W6 is probably on your charts. As well as KNHK (Pax River). I used to fly up to Johnstown all the time as Lockheed Martin Aero Parts and Augustine Tool and Die did work on our NAVAIR weapons program. Used to fly out of Willow Grove/Johnstown USMC Res guys doing GAU-17/GAU-21 training!

Would love to come up thanks!
