we also did a Delta Force impression were our Black hawk was shot down

,

at this time the Delta Operators wore the Nam era ERDLs, RDF style ERDLs and photos show some wearing the Rothco ripstop tigerstripes made in the early 80s too, usually with the ERDL boonies, RDF boonies and the patrol caps

PW,

How did you get into this? Do you make money? Do studio's call you,or do you have an agent who scopes things out for you? I thought Dale Dye was the only one in "Hollyweird" doing the military advisor thing, and that he had his own group of folks he knew and called (I was looking into that a while back as a second career after Active duty retirement:P )

Actually got the call from my buddy Jeff Warner and his company GI Concepts, yea that show was a four day shoot, 7:00AM first call to about 19:00PM long day and long drives but lots of fun!!

Dale Dye and his band of deuce bags did the 1st episode and did such a horrible job they wernt asked back!! we did it at 1/4 the price and SHOWED UP WITH OUR OWN GEAR AND WEAPONS!!! Screw You Dale Dye.

Yea I got 100.00 a day + $100.00 to $150.00 on top of that for bringing extra gear such as law tubes, radio, extra M-16A1's extra gear, medics bags, that kind of stuff.

we also did an episode on Iraq, the 173d in 1967-68, the navy Riverine Forces in Vietnam and the Marines during TET. I made a good amount of money for the Navy one because they needed me to outfit the riverboat guys and a 6 man Ranger team. flew me up to WA got me a nice suit at a nice hotel and 200 for food! SWEET!!

havnt done another one since that, but we also done mail call too, and Dangerous Missions every once in a while someone will see my ugly mug on TV on the History channel or the Military Channel.

Cool! Sounds like a good thing,at least for some fun,and money towards collecting or whatever.

Diddnt know Dale Dye was such an sweetheart-I just assumed he was a good guy,I guess just because he had done some "high profile" shows one just "assumes" he knows his shinola. But,then again, you know what they say about assuming:D

Thanks for answering my questions!

Paul,

If it's the same show I'm thinking about it had interviews with Steve Trijillo, Dale Killinger and, Terry Poland in it. I went through RIP with Trujillo, Ranger School with Killinger, and Terry Poland was my Platoon Sgt in B Co for awhie. I recall the show being pretty good and as I've said before, your impressions look really good. Thanks for posting the pics.
