Got da Penny Posted October 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 9, 2009 Got back to my workplace after a delivery on Wednesday. These 2 Fighting Knifes were waiting for me at my desk. Heres the deal, I made a delivery to a customer back in July. He told his father that i collected Military items. So, his Dad calls him back and says 'I have a Marine corps knife for your buddy". I was told this the following day on a 2nd delivery to a job site. Well, I got a BONUS with the package. :w00t: US Model 1917 Trench Knife. Got da Penny Posted October 9, 2009 Author Share #2 Posted October 9, 2009 and it STILL has "Dirt" stuck on the inside of the knuckle diamonds. The triangular blade was 9 3/4" long, with a black finish. The handle was walnut with shallow finger grooves. The knuckle guard was formed of stamped steel with pressed out pyramid shaped points. There was a conical staked nut holding the blade in the handle, and this could be used as a "skull cracker". The scabbard was made of green tubular leather with a blackened steel tip and throat, with a standard wire pistol belt hook. The scabbards were made by the Jewel Belt Co.
