LtRGFRANK Posted October 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2009 I have a WWII dated Poncho. Right now I have it draped over a stand. Do to space I need to put it away. Can I hang on a wood hanger in my closet? Fold it up and lay on a shelf? Fold and wrap with a cloth then put it in a plastic storage bag?? any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. I want to preserve it the best way I can. Robert

One was neatly folded and had gained permanent stuff creases at each fold. The other was on a hanger in a closet in the house and and had no sharp folds. It was a 1938 poncho and looked like this after all those years
