Here's another 644th TD Bn. It is named to a Henry p. Cota, interesting that there is a 8th div patch on lower right sleeve, which I'm told they were attached to them so long they felt they should wear the patchPosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

And a couple of my varients, the green eyed TD patch was to enhance the patch. There was also a member on here with a uniform with this type patch on it.Posted ImagePosted Image

I know it's in eBay right now, looks ( not sure what word I'm looking for) childish looking, cartoonish, I'm not a fan, but I've seen German made patches look similar in construction.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I've heard some say it's fantasy and some say post war German. I'm also not a fan of most of the non regulation patches because, as Bill said, they look "cartoonish". One thing about these though, the examples I've seen look just alike.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had ever seen one of these on a uniform with provenance.

Know the collection this was from and was an advanced collector. Not sure what is cartoonish about the patch. Saw it was available 45years ago at ASMIC convention from well known dealer. Actually the only one I have ever seen.

Great jacket, everything is correct about it. Yes, the 644th was with the 8th a lot, especially company c that was my grandfathers company. Nolan White T5
