Erwin:

I was surprised when I won the auction!! Is your shirt a "Gas Flap"? The makings

are printed on the inside of the collar.

Craig:

The gas flap is still present and can be seen in post #358

Thanks for the comments!! The shirt is MINT

!!!

My TD shirts are without the gas flap.

It looks like a nice one you got there, Nate.

Just missed out on a three piece TD collar disc ..... it went up to 91 USD!!! :blink::wacko:

This one arrived today (February 13), thanks to a good member here;

It's an ike jacket belonging to a Staff Sergeant of a Tank Destroyer unit (probably the 772nd TD Bn) of the 75th Infantry Division.

It has the clutchback, one piece TD collar disc, the screwback "US" collar disc, Staff Sergeant ranks, TD and 75th ID patches.
Ribbons: Bronze Star, Good Conduct, American Campaign, EAMA with one Battle Star and WWII Victory.

Got overbid on another map (of Camp Hood) though.
It probably was of the same group of documents.

Other info I collected while waiting. Includes entry in WWII Memorial, and his death certificate from Arizona.

Then the surprise. The seller sent all this extra stuff free of charge. It's turned out to be a great little grouping, and in this case I think I'll send away for his files. He was a TD commander in Italy and prior to that an instructor at Camp Hood. Almost forgot, his wife was a Lieutenant Army surgical nurse.

Does anyone have an example with the gun barrel pointing the other way? I've heard of this type but never seen one.
