Chribo Posted October 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2009 Hi, Although I know there are no official US WW1 helmet covers, thought I would share what I assume is a unit made one. The 104th FA did not serve with its division in France, it was attached to the 33rd and 79th division to the North and North East of Verdun. I was lucky enough to get a small set of goodies belonging to Major Seymour, one of the battalion commanders of the 104th.

Chribo Posted October 4, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted October 4, 2009 Has anyone seen a cover like this before? Initially I thought it nay be a Brit cover, but apparently not. I am now assuming a battery tailor made them.... All the best Chris

Chribo Posted November 5, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted November 5, 2009 Well, I think I have finally done justice to Seymour and his Arty boys.... Please take a look.. http://www.kaiserscross.com/136501/236701.html would have been a great pity for that to have gone unresearched...
