siege1863 Posted May 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2007 Just picked up this nice homefront piece. It is a special time card printed up for V-E Day. Each employee who worked on this day was allowed to keep his/her card and have it signed by fellow employees. The card belonged to Wilbie B. Welborn, who worked at SERVEL in Evansville, Indiana. SERVEL manufactured wing assemblies for the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter plane. The company employed more than 5000 men and women. This card shows a mere 98!
