llafoe Posted September 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2009 Who was the preeminent medal manufacturer for the US Navy in the late 70s, early 80s? Was it Vanguard, Lordship or Graco? If all three were around, which one produced the best quality medals?
jmpmstr Posted February 8, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2021 I can’t say for sure which was the preeminent manufacturer, but I would deduce either Lordship or Graco. I don’t feel like Vanguard was the top dog for medals. That said, I’m of the opinion Lordship was of better quality, at least in the 80s. I’ve seen Graco products with poor detail, poor finishes, and an over lack of quality. I don’t feel like the Lordship products were of overall better quality. Others may have more experienced observations.
