Hey guys and gals, here is one of the better lids that came from the late John Coy's museum. Here we have a nice USN marked D-day lid with matching liner. Only Id'ing marks, is the last name ADAMS stenciled on the nape strap. This lid is published in Chris Armold's "Painted Steel" on page 187. Does anyone have any idea if these markings were indicative of a particular Beach Battalion? Any info would be great. Thanks and enjoy!

Steve
