SteveR Posted May 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2007 Seems like I am on a Civil War run right now. Oh well that is the stuff I have been playing with lately. This type of Headgear was worn in the early period of the Civil War by 4 different outfits. The 62nd and 83rd Pennsylvania Infantry & the 49th and 72nd New York infantry units side back interior with chin strap. close up of the French made shako plate. KurtA Posted May 11, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 11, 2007 Very nice shako. Everything on it has just the right amount of even age/wear you'd expect to see on something that old. Kurt
