Cpl. Cecil Carpenter Iwo Vet

Recommended Posts

Here is a uniform in my collection that is very meaningful to me. This belonged to Cpl. Cecil A. Carpenter of Newton, Iowa. Cecil was a life long friend, fellow Marine, and a member of my VFW post as well. He served with 16th Field Depot on Iwo as a part of 5th Amphibious Corps. After Cecil passed away his wife passed his greens on to me. I couldn't be more proud of this one.

Hi, That's a sharp blouse and it's nice that your friend's wife let you have it. Thanks for sharing.

Sincerely, Jim Shaw
