Thsi is personally funny to me and shows how times change.

(and with no offense at all made to the reenactors)

My mother's family was swedish and in '69 we visited "the old country." I was like a 10 year old kid.

The other Swedish kids in the area we were staying refiused to play with me becasue I was one of those evil Americans that were off killing babies in Vietnam. I'm serious. It was kind of upsetting to me as a kid, and I recall mildly baffling to my parents that 10 year old kids would even think about this.

So now I see a Sewdish Nam reenactment group. I cannot help but laugh, and find myself amazed again in a totally different way.

But as I know French and Russian's reenacting Germans I guess it shows how much time has passed.

I remember those days. Most of the news out of Sweden was of very strong anti-war protests. This is something I never would have expected.

That said, good luck to all of you!
