AirMechanic Posted August 20, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 20, 2009 I recently came across an individual who wanted to sell me a green army field desk, but this is out of my area of expertise. It has 4 removable table like legs and 15 shelves of varying sizes for storing letters, etc. The top lid of the field desk opens up to store the legs, and the front panel lowers to reveal the shelves, but also to provide a writing surface. When everything is packed up, it takes the shape of a crate. Anyone know what type of field desk this is or when it dates from? Maybe a clerks desk? The WWII ones I have seen on ebay are alot smaller, and different from this type. Sorry I dont have a picture, maybe someone can post some pics of the different style field desks.
