Cobrahistorian Posted August 1, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 1, 2009 Hey all, I had some fun at NARA today, looking for images for my presentation on 11 September at the National Guard Association Conference. Figured I'd put up some good ones that I scanned.

Cobrahistorian Posted August 1, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted August 1, 2009 Nice! I love the pic of the P-38 and the trashed 109! Cheers! Syd Yeah, that's a cool shot. It was published a few years ago in a book called "Overlord" which was basically a biography of Major General Elwood "Pete" Quesada. The German airplane is actually an Me-410 twin engined fighter. Of course, without its wings, its kinda hard to tell! Jon

Cobrahistorian Posted August 2, 2009 Author Share #7 Posted August 2, 2009 Here's a couple more: I find it fascinating that the only guy in a flight suit in the last pic is the one on the extreme left. The remainder are all wearing regular wools!
