mikes militaria Posted May 18, 2015 #95 Posted May 18, 2015 A few years ago, The Warren Co Museum here in Front Royal did an exhibition about the Remount Station that was here up until or even after WW2. The Remount Station supplied the horses for the army units east of the Mississippi River. I believe that Black Pershing's horse is buried there. It is now a research center for the National Zoo. I had some of my WW1 collection on exhibit there for a year. I made this for that exhibit.
mikes militaria Posted May 18, 2015 #98 Posted May 18, 2015 WW2, I was told that the Star on the Sgt chevron in this time period did not exist. Any info on this topic is welcome.
