Unissued Helmet, Flak, M5,

I found this nice M5 Flak Helmet about 10 years ago in a small, military surplus, store here in Cleveland. Price tag was $19.95 and while outside of my normal interests, I liked its looks and bought it. I would have classified it as Mint, but there are numerous spots on the outside where the metal underneath the flocking has rusted. Almost, like it was stored in a real humid atmosphere, There is no pitting, but the rust color has bled through the flocking, even though the flocking is 100% intact. However, the inside of the helmet and the chin straps are all flat out mint.
