Custom Ribbon Bars--Any era!

Recommended Posts

These belonged to LTG Hollingsworth. Notice the large OLC on his ribbons. I knew the general with my association with Texas A&M Corps of Cadet in college station, Texas.

I asked for these years ago and he gave them to me while I had a General officer and Legion of Valor on display in the Corps museum.

im gonna get a custom set of ribbons from my service sewn on one of my class a jackets. Makes a lasting impression on the uniform i feel.

I know generals can pretty much do what they want but why the variation in the oak leaf clusters size and number-- especially the Air Medal on the Hollingsworth set?

 

Why not a silver star on the Vietnam Service Medal?

LTG Hollingsworth ribbon bar came from him. I never question or alter the gift. It is a very impressive combination I would have to agree. LTG Tackberry is the other ribbon bar I have similar to this one.
