AirMechanic Posted July 21, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2009 Does anyone know what the WWII signal corp CH-70 chest was used for?

Bob Hudson Posted July 21, 2009 Share #3 Posted July 21, 2009 I don't. It's not on my list of Signal Corps chests. There is a list of communications equipment sent to other nations under the WWII Lend Lease program and it appears on that.

robinb Posted July 21, 2009 Share #5 Posted July 21, 2009 I just did a google search for CH-70. It appears that I actually own one of these chests, as an old post of mine showed up. Duh.

robinb Posted July 21, 2009 Share #7 Posted July 21, 2009 Interesting list. It shows that a total of 4 CH-70's were exported to Canada, but it doesn't say what it's used for. If I remember correctly, it's part of the TC-5 Telephone Central unit. I can't seem to locate my manual right at the moment.
