Hello to all,

While searching for information on our M84 stun grenade (fired, inert), I found conflicting specifications and wonder if the one we have here is "old" and if so, how old? For instance, I found info stating that the steel body has 12 blast and flash release holes, but this one has 18. Same source indicated the grenade's weight is 13.3 oz - this one is 13.9 ounces. The US Patent number is stamped on one of the base sides, and that just smacks of "old" to me :) . I've also tried to find out the date of first use of the M84 stun grenade by the US military and have been unsuccessful at that too. Any comments and information will be greatly appreciated.

The patent was issued in 1999, so this is most likely "current" issue. Most cool though, if it needs a new place to live..... I would find a place for it. Dave

Hi, Dave...

Thanks so much for the information and for taking time to respond. The stun grenade will most probably pop up for auction somewhere soon.
