Hello!

I have these two uniforms belonging to COL Gerald G. Chikalla.

I found some info about him:

In 1955 he graduated from West Point.

He was an active in the U.S. Army from 1949-1985, including 4 tours in Vietnam (as an Advisor to the VN. Rangers in 1963, with the 1st ID 66-67 and with a special Sector/Area Advisor Program), 1 tour in Korea, & 2 tours in Germany.

He attended the British Imperial Defense College in 1976.

Another information I found is this:

I was stationed at West Point in 1970-72 when Chick brought his outstanding Inf. Bn. from the 101st Abn. Div to support the Cadets one summer. Was wonderful to see that proud Battalion Commander at West Point!

Which Infantry battalion did Col Chikalla commanded?

What do you think about these uniforms?

Where can you get the old cut-edge Ranger tabs? I've looked all over Ebay and my local surplus stores. Anybody have 'em?

Any opinions? I'm not a uniform collector and I don't really know what I have.

Thank you!
