I'm going to get my copy of A Ranger Born signed by Col. Black. He lives about twenty minutes from my house, and also my NJROTC unit has a signed First SEAL by Roy Boehm. I was about to get my copy signed but he passed away. If my instructor doesn't want it I'll get it.

Those are some awesome books!

Joe

I have a few books signed by aces, a musette bag signed by Bud Hawk, a MOH recipient and a reproduction A-2 flight jacket signed by about 25 WWII aces. I also have a die-cast F6F signed by the first C.O. of the Blue Angesl, Butch Voris (who's also an ace).

Had a few moments to spare between the screams of my teething baby to pull out some more books. Here's another Mark Clark book, written by his wife, "Captain's Bride, General's Lady."

This one I found in Wilmington, NC, by a Wake Island survivor. Jestfully entitled "Guests of the Emperor." Only printed in paperback.

Hi All Forum Members, This book in my collection ' America's Medal of Honor Recipients ' was

given to me and signed by my friend Medal of Honor winner Ernest Childers 45 Inf. Div. It contains

the signatures of seventy MoH winners that I collected at the Albuquerque MoH meeting 1989.

In 1989 I was invited to attend the 1989 Medal of Honor meeting in Albuquerque NM., by my friend

Ernest Childers MOH. It was a great pleasure to be able to stay in the same hotel as the Medal of

Honor veterans, who had taken over all the rooms in the hotel. To attend the actual evening meeting

and also sit with various veterans for breakfast, drink at the bar, or open meetings in selected rooms

was fantastic. Also during the daytime I was a guest on the viewing platform for four hours as seemingly

endless procession paraded past, notably a small group of Navajo code talkers, prisoner of war groups,

vehicles, horse soldiers and honor guards.

I well remember the swelling in my throat as the pageant of the evening unfolded, with a parade of flags

and drum roll from active members of the U.S. Forces. There is far too much to write about here without

filling pages of memories.

At the end of the evening and all the march pasts, the meal and the many speeches I was able to wander

around armed with my copy of ' America's Medal of Honor, Recipients ' published by Highland Publishers,

Golden Valley, Minnesota, and gather veterans signatures who were named inside my book.

I managed to gather seventy signatures without being too rushed as I wished to spend a few moments

with each veteran. Attached below is the list of signatures I assembled within my book.

I hope you enjoy the list and possibly find signatories from units that you have interest in.

This book is an autobiography of Major General Ernest N. Harmon, USA. During WW II he held command of the 1st Armored Division and the 2nd Armored Division. Good reading!

Met this gentleman at a traveling WWII exhibit at the Texas State Fair one year. He founded the Dallas Holocaust Center. Yet to go there, it's on my list of things to do. (Gave the book to a neighbor to read and did not come back in the same shape I gave it to them... :pinch: )
