WHAT WERE THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR WEARING A COMMAND PILOT WING AND WHEN WERE THEY AUTHORIZED FOR WEAR. ALSO WHAT ARE THE BASIC AIRCREW TYPES AND THEIR AUTHORIZATION DATES...........THANKS JIMMY

IMPERIAL QUEST

Rating

Command Pilot

 

Basic requirement

*15 years as rated pilot, and

*Permanent award of senior pilot rating, and

 

 

Flight time

3000 total hours, or

 

Alternative flight time

*2300 hours primary and instructor flight, or

*144 months Operational Flying Duty (OFDA

Hi Paul,

 

I guess that is something only the buyer can say for sure. As you know the 12C (Coro) dates this wing to very late post war ;)

Personally I think it's a little too high for a Post WW2 command pilot wings. I have the same pair in my collection and would be happy to take $100 for it ;)
