Combo shot of all pockets .

I like Tigers that fall into the custom department , they are usually made of high quality workmanship .

There trousers are closed by a YKK zip.

All the best

Owen,

Your pants are in the same cut that the one I have but made in Silver pattern/ TDS. I think the approriate shirt must be the one in the OG107 cut. I saw one sold by the japanese collector few years ago, never seen others again.

The seller of this set is Ed Hicks. Has had a shop in the heart of fayetteville, NC, for years. No doubt a great set of tigers. There is nothing wrong with there being no bleed through from the printing..

MF .

This is a killer 1st army cut tiger set .

These came into being around 1963 and can be seen a couple of pages back in this thread .

Look at the inverted pocket pleat and the single button on the trousers .

These are the signs of earily war issue pieces .

The quality of earily tiger blows out most tiger cuts in my opinion .

This print just wants to purple and should be considered top shelf .

Jason Hardy has a set on his site now for $1200 ish last time I looked .

It is time to go hunting and see who will win this fantastic piece of stripe.

all the best

I second Bob. Ed got nice SF stuff. I bought from him a super MF grouping years ago.

Hi O,

You right its a killer tiger set!

I know the seller as well, he got nice vintage stuff on ebay since years .

I was junst wonder that the print isn't bleeding through the cloth what I never saw before.

Bud no doubt its a beautiful early set especially because it has the John wayne dense print and not the sparse print what's in my opinon more rare for the early pattern in this cut w00t.gif

I have some early tigers with the sparse pint exactly like the one on Jason Hardy's side and the quality is simply amazing.

It's one of my favorite patterns, no other pattern got this kind of fat black stripes.

Anyway the one one ebay is a eye candy as well!, let's go hunting !!

Cheers

Mike

Hello,

I ve just bought this bonnie hat , the material is likely golden tiger, but it s thinner than the material in which are made shirt and pants. I'd like to know if this bonnie is legit. Inside , there is a square stamp S 61/2, the liner is made in black cotton material. Please let me know your opinion.

cop

When I posted some Tiger headgear I also posted an example of this style of boonie

Go back and read what I said .

Note .

people call this type Golden but I think not , to be a real golden it would be made from the correct brushed cotton .

Light weight yes .

I have owned a suit made from this material a long time ago , but it was super small , ARVN cut .

All in all a hard boonie to come across .

I have only ever 4 in collections , yours is the 5th and that is in 25 years !!!

And it is real ,so you can sleep with it under your pillow and have sweet dreams .

all the best
