BigJohn#3RD Posted June 3, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 3, 2009 I recently acquired this grouping on line that belonged to PFC Max Feld because it is one of the most complete groupings of a soldier I have run across and includes the following: • Recipient Of Combat Medic Badge, with Orders • Bronze Star Medal for Heroism ( with V/Valor Device) , with Orders and Certificate • Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, with Orders and Certificate, Named to Max Feld • Purple Heart Medal, with Orders and Certificate • Good Conduct Medal, Named to Max Feld • American Campaign Medal, • European Africa Medial Eastern Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars (Central Europe And Rhineland Campaigns), • WWII Victory Medal, • Army Of Occupation Medal W/ Germany Bar, • Meritorious Service Patch, with Orders • Army Marksmen Badge For Rifle, • Army Sharpshooter Badge Small Bore Rifle, • 2 each 6 Months Overseas Bars for 1 Year, Overseas Service, • Honorable Discharge documenting most of the awards listed above (Not included 2nd Bronze Star Medal, Army of Occupation Medal) • Army of the United States Separation Qualification Record • 1950 Letter authoring issue of Army of Occupation Medal with Germany Bar • 1954 Letter Authorizing Oak Leaf Cluster to Bronze Star Medal, and document issuing Medal Certificates and other awards • State Of New York Conspicuous Service Medal Numbered with Orders and Certificate Governor Dewey • Certificate from President Truman • Letter of Commendation from Surgeon of 317th AA Balloon Battalion, Camp Tyson TN • Reissue of the 102 Infantry Division “OZARK” book listing Max Feld • Two Pairs of WWII Issue Dog Tags • Overseas Cap with Red Piping for Artillery (probably issued when assigned to 317th AA Balloon Battalion • News Clippings of Mr. Feld and Family being evicted from home in 1947 and one of him as a VA House inspector circa 1960 • Photos of PFC Feld at Camp Tyson and another unidentified one with him wearing a Service Hat (Known as a Bus Drivers Caps to Airborne Personnel) • Jewish War Veterans Pins and Bicentennial Pin • Many more document • I added to 102 Division Patches and 407 Inf Reg DUI (German Occupation Made) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
