We need closeups of the makers mark, the pin soldering, and take the picture in natural light. Right now they have a post 1960's look to them but that could be due to the lighting.

And that's because of the finish, not the construction, right?

For $30 I don't think you can go wrong. Does the hallmark have what looks to be a registered trademark above the "n"? If so it was probably struck in the mid seventies or later. I returned a set of dolphins the other week for this reason. I have a few WWII examples and all are hallmarked as seen in the picture below.
