I'm really not into american stencil, it's only a big mess to me. Could you explain me these ones?

The top marking looks to be from the 66th New York Infantry Regiment, probably A Company. The "1" could mean 1st Platoon or some inventory number.

 

The bottom stencil, I have no idea.

"R.D." could be the soldier's initials and the numeral "6" his company roster number, which may have have been stenciled on the rest of his web equipment.
