Pretty sure it was Boyt mfg'd. - This was many years ago now, before much significance was attached to that particular feature. Sold it in a catalog . . . pre-internet days, '86 - '88 or so. The early contract Boyt packs I've seen with early style markings "BoyT 42" markings have the "M" buckles.
