I though i should put this up for fun.

Lots of people, especially reenactors, seem obsessed with what was the correct shade of OD/khaki for whatever year, division, Ike's underwear, blah blah blah.

I for got i bought this one and found it cleaning up my display area today. This belt is marked "HINSON MFG. CO. JAN. 1942".

(Not even the light colored pocket flaps are the same shade, also the loops for the adjustment belt on the right half of the belt are a different color than those on the left!)

Where was the QC guy on this one??? :)

This is one of my favorite belts.

Jason,

Nice belt.

It was made in Waterloo Iowa.I have a buddy that has a similiar belt. His has the mix of colors and the lower eyelets were never punched and installed. He got it in a footlocker group from a veteran.

Rollin from At the Front would have a grand time with this one. He just looooooooooooves Khaki nazis... Anyone who has ever spent three minutes in the army being issued army equipment knows that no two items are the same color, size, etc...

Great belt!!!
