Capt.Confederacy Posted May 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2009 At a local antique place, there's a patch lot for sale with many modern subdued patches that are obviously army. However, there's an odd used corporal chevron in the mix. It's on dark brown twill, yellow stripes, cheesecloth type of backing and no merrow edge. These look to be the standard size for a US corporal, but the color schematic is one I've never encountered. Could these be an acting coporal or something of that sort? QED4 Posted May 18, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 18, 2009 Most likely a police rank or some other non-military rank.
Lee Ragan Posted May 18, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 18, 2009 Most likely a police rank or some other non-military rank. That's probably right. I've got a couple that sound like the one you have and I believe they are generic law enforcement chevrons made for wear on a brown or dark tan uniform. Yeah, it sounds like it could be State Police or a Sheriffs Department chevrons.
Capt.Confederacy Posted May 19, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted May 19, 2009 Thanks for the input. Generic chevrons for a sheriff's department or some other law enforcement agency sounds like the likely source for those twill chevrons. Thanks again.
