What does it mean "aircraft" in that case? think.gif

 

Was it for aircraft towing or airstrip building... or... something other related to aviation...?

Was this propane powered? What was the propose of the big tanks he has his feet resting on?? Cool looking vehicle though!

If this is being used for airfieled use at the time I would say the tanks are there to service the struts/landing gear or for the sheet metal workers to run there drills ect. I dont know vintage aircraft,but I assume they have air in there landing gears like modern planes.

 

We have portable tanks like these in our hanger to service the struts on MD-80's and all our Boeing planes.
