KASTAUFFER Posted August 29, 2023 Author Share #308 Posted August 29, 2023 I did not know I was getting this tag until the POW Diary I bought on EBay arrived in the mail. It wasn’t described. when I received the diary. The tag was stuck inside. This is Stalag XIIA tag ( a transit camp) from a POW held in Stalag IIA captured in Sept 1944 in France. This tag was mixed in with a larger of group of primarily 28th Infantry Division patches and officer insignia but no name or ID of any type to even start my search. I am thinking this GI was an infantry officer with the 28th Infantry Division and a Major at some point either during or after the war but that is all I have to go on.
