JonG Posted May 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 10, 2009 Went to the flea market a little late this morning, but did OK. The wife was going thru a box of kids clothes and said "here's something for you". She handed me a web belt and mess kit. All dated 1917/1918. The guy selling it said he sold a bunch of military stuff to a dealer earlier in the morning, and thought someone had stolen these 2 pieces since he hadn't seen them, and knew they were there somewhere. Obviously, the dealers missed these due to their being in with a bunch of kids clothes. I wonder what else he had........ I don't collect WWI, but since they were a good buy, I couldn't pass them up. Since I don't collect WWI, they'll go off to the Trade/For Sale Forum (kept together) in the next day or two.
