Jim Baker Posted May 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2009 Looks good. I'm an Osprey fan, although I hate their new website. Sometimes improvements ain't all that.
Mr-X Posted May 8, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2009 Unfortunately for a while now most new Osprey books have been let down by their illustrations. I have become a little fed up with this, so much so that I have elected not to buy a number of titles that I was looking forward to seeing, such as "The Poilu". I did buy the "Bay of Pigs" but was also disappointed with the illustrations. Don't get me wrong Osprey has a few good illustrators such as Mike Chappell, Ron Volstad and Martin Brayley. However with the increased numbers of books being published, the 3 aforementioned illustrators are being supplemented by a number of lesser illustrators. tredhed2 Posted May 10, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 10, 2009 With Osprey, you get what you pay for. I understand that the bibliography is interesting. I'll wait for Les Hughes' OSS book, thank you.
